The Rope of The Dead

I want to follow
The rope of the dead
To its end.
I want to follow
That incomprehensible weave
Of flesh and fleshlessness,
I want to follow
Those taut, twisted fibers of fire,
Those ligatures of stars
That bind and unloose space and time
Leading to the mystery
Of spectral hands and eyes
On the other side
That hold this rope
Across the void

I want to speak out to the dead
And tell them my sorrow of living
I want to tell them that
I need to transform my life
Before the iron law of the mire,
That I want to pass on
To the other side
While still in flesh
By availing myself
To the magic touch of death
And rebirth
By drinking the rope of the dead
Someday

The Water Bearer

I had fallen
My lips were broken
From lack of the water of life
I laid on the earth, faint as a shadow
In the dessert of existence,
The will to go on evaporated
Down To the last drop
Wanting to leave
This thirst that was killing me
And I heard within my veins
The Water bearer
Singing

I am
                Not afraid
For I am
                Not confused
For I am
                Not dying

I am the Water bearer
And I am
Alive
For I am
Dauntless and sure
As the fall of water from a vase
For I am
Alive forever
For I am
The water bearer
Inside you, the porter
Carrying the water of your blood
With every step
Across the earth,
Who only  lives to pour out
All that is in my vessel

With so much water
That must be born
And given, given
I say
That only in the giving
Is anything finally understood
You must reach out and pour
And pour if you want to understand
What the water of life truly is.

I carry the secret of existence
Within your veins filled with my waters:
Have No Fear.

Entheos!

A burst of entheos!
A burst enthusiasmos!

Like a god that enters...
An immense surge of sunlight within
As all opposites
Become one heaven and earth

A searing ray of equilibrium
Upon which the strength of the sun balances
In a gymnastic feat of light.

Muscle-bound clouds
Flex in the sky
As the blue expands,
Rippling with rays far into the distance

Celestial acrobatics of light!
The performance of the One Thing!
The perfect routine of the eternal
On the rings of Fire
On the trampoline of Earth
On the horse of Air
On the parallel bars of Water!

You sit in the judge's chair
And for this performance
You give the sun a gold medal,
And the world is won.
