The Water Bearer

I had fallen
My lips were broken
From lack of the water of life
I laid on the earth, faint as a shadow
In the dessert of existence,
The will to go on evaporated
Down To the last drop
Wanting to leave
This thirst that was killing me
And I heard within my veins
The Water bearer
Singing

I am
                Not afraid
For I am
                Not confused
For I am
                Not dying

I am the Water bearer
And I am
Alive
For I am
Dauntless and sure
As the fall of water from a vase
For I am
Alive forever
For I am
The water bearer
Inside you, the porter
Carrying the water of your blood
With every step
Across the earth,
Who only  lives to pour out
All that is in my vessel

With so much water
That must be born
And given, given
I say
That only in the giving
Is anything finally understood
You must reach out and pour
And pour if you want to understand
What the water of life truly is.

I carry the secret of existence
Within your veins filled with my waters:
Have No Fear.
